NO one throws a bash quite like Rihanna does, so when it was time for the bad gal to ring in her 30th, she did so in style. Taking over New York’s The Grill restaurant for an all-night party with friends, she entered her third decade with a blowout celebration complete with standout fashion statement. She chose to wear one of Saint Laurent’s voluminous spring/summer 2018 looks - a ruffled and ruched dress in magenta accented by layers of jewellery. From the coordinating diamond and ruby earrings adorning her ears to not one, but three blingy bracelets, she shined bright. Though ultimately, her dress proved as attention-grabbing as all those stones.

With its distinctive silhouette - oversized on top then tapering to a figure-hugging black skirt - the outfit was as dramatic as it gets and caused as big of a stir as it did when Anthony Vaccarello debuted it on his Eiffel Tower runway last October. Rihanna took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the festivities, and signalled that the best is yet to come, captioning her latest upload, “Surrounded by the people I love most, 30 is already my favourite era!”
