I’m 5ft 3in. Here’s how I found perfect-fit trousers (without breaking the bank)

Until recently, the only item of clothing I had ever had made especially for me was my wedding dress. Six years ago, however, I stopped shopping on the high street and discovered the fabulous world of made-to-order. Across the UK, small ateliers are thriving, offering a slower but far more personal approach to fashion.

I understand that having something made for you can feel like a daunting prospect – it is a big commitment. But having commissioned a few pieces, I can reassure you that the rewards are many, with benefits you simply cannot find off the peg. Here are my top tips if you’re thinking of dipping a toe into bespoke.
