Ivanka Trump is a mom — just like most moms! Except she gets followed by the paparazzi, has boatloads of money, and a father who is running for President of the United States. But even though she’s always lived a charmed life, Trump wants you to know that just like every the average American mom, she sometimes gets baby goop all over her clothes.
The momtrepreneur took to Instagram to share a paparazzi image of herself and her youngest son, Theodore, captioning the shot, “That moment when you are caught by the paparazzi with spit-up on your shirt. Thank you, baby Theodore,” she wrote, adding a neutral yellow thumbs up emoji and the hashtag #WomenWhoWork.
In her speech at last week’s Republican National Convention, Trump touched on wage inequality and the importance of working mothers. “Women represent 46 percent of the total U.S. labor force, and 40 percent of American households have female primary breadwinners. In 2014, women made 83 cents for every dollar made by a man. Single women without children earn 94 cents for each dollar earned by a man, whereas married mothers made only 77 cents,” she said. “As researchers have noted, gender is no longer the factor creating the greatest wage discrepancy in this country, motherhood is.”
How timely, then, that the paparazzi caught her on mommy duty!
